Founder and CEO Rosa Santana has received the “Mexicanos Distinguidos” (Distinguished Mexicans) Award at the Noche de Amistad Gala held November 17, 2021. Santana, who immigrated to the United States at the age of five, is the first-ever San Antonio-based awardee and the fourth person to be honored as a “Mexicana Distinguida” by the Government of Mexico through the Institute for Mexicans Abroad (IME).
The “Mexicanos Distinguidos” Award recognizes Mexican nationals who have lived abroad for at least five years consecutively and who stand out for their extraordinary professional trajectory, social responsibility, peer recognition, and commitment to promote the image of Mexico.
“Thank you for recognizing my professional and personal trajectory as a Mexicana who has lived in this wonderful country practically all of my life but has never forgotten her roots,” said Santana, “I am truly honored and deeply humbled to receive the ‘Mexicana Distinguida’ Award. I am very proud to be a Mexicana living the American Dream.”
