IHC Continues to Provide Staffing Services as Essential Business

IHC has been closely monitoring and reviewing all recommendations from the CDC as well as government and local officials. As the week of March 23 began, several cities in which we conduct business instituted a mandatory stay-at-home, or shelter-in-place, policy for residents. This policy requires many businesses to shut down operations until a predetermined date. Essential Businesses, however, are exempt from these ordinances, so long as they follow guidelines to ensure a safe and sanitary environment. Among those essential businesses are manufacturing and financial services. As a tier II supplier that provides temporary, temp-to-hire, and direct-hire placement services in these industries, the people IHC employs play important roles in ensuring manufacturing and financial service operations do not cease indefinitely amid this public health emergency. For this reason, local officials have determined that IHC is providing essential services to the communities in which we operate and can remain open.

IHC is dedicated to continuing to provide services to our customers while protecting the health and safety of our employees. Each of our branches is equipped with disinfecting products, and our teams have been trained on the protocols mandated by the CDC, including frequent handwashing for no less than 20 seconds, restricting group sizes to fewer than 10 people, and maintaining a distance of 6 feet from others. Additionally, IHC has cancelled all in-person interviews until it is deemed safe to conduct them.

During this time, IHC has gone digital! Our Staffing Supervisors are equipped to conduct interviews via phone or video, and we have enhanced our application process to support mobile devices.

Our goal is to keep those who are working safe and employed while finding work for those who are seeking employment. We look forward to continuing to provide our services to our local communities!
